We worked with Scholastic to make a companion app to their The Last Resort book trilogy. This web-based AR app features characters you can talk to and puzzles you can solve to uncover more of the story. I had the pleasure of modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating a cast of characters for each book. My goal was to match the style and likeness of the in-book illustrations that Scholastic provided us, and I'm happy with how these characters all turned out. They have a full range of phoneme blendshapes to go along with voice overs in the app, and their texture and model files are optimized for gltf formatting while maintaining enough geometry for smooth facial animation.
